1. Who We Are

First Priority of America, Inc. (“First Priority,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a faith-based organization that empowers students to bring the Good News of Jesus to every campus in America. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the First Priority Connect website, the First Priority Experience (FPX) mobile application, the Club Support web application, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Contact information — name, email address, phone number, and mailing address (e.g., when requesting a Starter Kit or completing onboarding).
  • Account and sign-in information — email address, password credentials you provide directly, and basic account/profile information shared by sign-in providers such as Apple or Google when you choose those login methods.
  • Role and affiliation — the role you select (Student, Club Mentor/Coach, Faculty Sponsor, Church Partner, or Exploring) and your school or organization.
  • Location data — state and county selections you make during onboarding so we can connect you with the appropriate regional team.
  • Commitment and profile information — commitment agreements, testimony text, and related profile details you choose to share.
  • Meeting and report data — information about club meetings, attendance reports, and food order details submitted through Club Support.
  • Communications — messages or feedback you send to us directly.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information — device type, operating system, and push notification tokens (Expo push tokens) used to deliver notifications.
  • Usage data — pages visited, onboarding progress steps completed, and general interaction patterns.
  • Diagnostic and operational logs — technical diagnostics, app version, platform, notification status, and limited troubleshooting details such as user role, state, county, or error context when needed to support reliability, routing, notification delivery, fraud prevention, or customer support.
  • Local device storage — onboarding progress, session state, and related app preferences may be stored on your device to help the app resume where you left off and keep core experiences working reliably.
  • Log data — IP address, browser type, and access timestamps collected by our hosting providers in the normal course of serving web traffic.

2.3 Optional Calendar Access, Motion Effects, and Health-Related Data

  • Calendar access (optional) — if you choose the “Add to Calendar” feature in the FPX mobile app, we request access to calendars on your device so we can create a follow-up reminder or event that you ask us to create. The event may include a title, date and time, location, notes, and assignment context. We do not upload or store your existing calendar history on our servers.
  • Motion-based visual effects — FPX may display subtle motion-style or parallax animation on the welcome view to create a more engaging visual experience. These effects are used only for presentation inside the app. We do not request or use permissions for physical activity, activity recognition, motion and fitness, body sensors, accelerometer, gyroscope, pedometer, or similar device-sensor data for this feature. We do not use motion effects to profile you, and we do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share motion data as part of our analytics, advertising, or data-broker practices.
  • Health and fitness data — FPX is not intended to collect medical or fitness records. We do not collect or store Health Connect, Google Fit, Apple Health, heart rate, body measurements, diagnosis, treatment, sleep, menstrual, or step-count data. We do not access, collect, store, use, transmit, or share health-related data from Health Connect, Google Fit, Apple Health, activity-recognition APIs, body-sensor APIs, or similar health and fitness platforms. We do not infer your health or fitness status, and we do not sell health-related data or use it for advertising.

3. Sensor, Motion, and Health Platform Disclosure

FPX does not use device motion, physical activity, or health platform data for onboarding, analytics, advertising, profiling, or data-broker purposes.

  • Welcome-screen motion effects only — Any motion-style or parallax effect on the FPX welcome view is a visual presentation effect only.
  • No sensor access for this feature — We do not request, access, read, collect, or transmit accelerometer, gyroscope, pedometer, body sensor, physical activity, activity recognition, motion and fitness, or similar sensor data to power that effect.
  • No health platform access — We do not access, collect, store, use, transmit, or share data from Health Connect, Google Fit, Apple Health, or similar health or fitness platforms.
  • No health inference — We do not infer health, fitness, sleep, reproductive health, diagnosis, treatment, activity levels, body measurements, heart rate, or step-count information about you.
  • No sale or advertising use — We do not sell, share, or use sensor, motion, or health-related data for advertising or marketing.
  • Future changes — If a future version of FPX ever requests access to these categories of data, we will update this Privacy Policy and the in-app disclosures before that data is accessed or collected.

4. Location and Advertising Disclosure

FPX does not use precise device location, background location, motion, or health data for targeted advertising, profiling, or data-broker purposes.

  • No precise GPS tracking — Our onboarding and routing flows primarily use the state, county, or region information you provide directly. We do not continuously track your device's exact location in the background.
  • No background location collection — We do not collect or transmit background location data for analytics, advertising, or marketing.
  • No targeted advertising — We do not use your personal information, sensor data, health data, or location data to build advertising profiles or to serve targeted ads.
  • No data-broker activity — We do not sell or license personal information to data brokers.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services, including routing you to the appropriate regional First Priority team.
  • Send push notifications and communications related to your involvement (e.g., meeting reminders, assignment notifications).
  • Process Starter Kit requests and food orders.
  • Authenticate your account and let you sign in using email, Apple, or Google when you choose those options.
  • Manage club meetings, reports, and operational workflows within Club Support.
  • Create optional follow-up reminders in your device calendar when you ask us to use the “Add to Calendar” feature.
  • Show optional welcome-screen parallax or other visual motion effects for presentation only, not for user profiling or advertising, and without collecting or transmitting motion, sensor, or health data.
  • Store limited session state and onboarding progress on your device so the app can resume smoothly and reduce accidental data loss.
  • Respond to your questions and support requests.
  • Monitor reliability, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and maintain the security of our Services.
  • Analyze usage trends to improve user experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Regional teams — When you complete onboarding, your contact information and role are shared with the regional First Priority team assigned to your area so they can follow up and support you.
  • Service providers — We use third-party services such as Firebase (Google Cloud) for authentication, data storage, and hosting; Apple and Google when you choose those sign-in methods; Google services where needed to support maps or related location-selection experiences; Expo for push notification delivery and mobile platform services; and Netlify for web hosting. These providers process data on our behalf or at your direction and are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • Calendar providers you choose — If you use the “Add to Calendar” feature, the event details needed to create that reminder are handed to the calendar provider you select or have configured on your device (for example, your native device calendar or Google Calendar).
  • Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Safety — We may share information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect the safety of our users, the public, or First Priority.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase/Firestore) located in the United States. We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including Firestore Security Rules, role-based access controls, and encrypted connections (TLS) — to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, account administration, legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, and operational record keeping. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record and our legal or operational obligations.

8. Push Notifications

If you use the FPX mobile application, we may send you push notifications using Expo's push notification service. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. If your device token becomes invalid, we automatically deactivate it.

9. Children's Privacy

First Priority works with students in middle school and high school settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information through our Services, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and correction — You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting us.
  • Deletion — You may request deletion of your personal information. For FPX volunteer or non-admin onboarding, profile, and related follow-up data, you can submit a request through our Data Deletion Request page. That request may include associated profile details, follow-up records, and push tokens related to that workflow. We will comply unless we are required to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate operational purposes. Requests relating to staff or admin account records may require direct support follow-up.
  • Push notifications — You can opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
  • Calendar permissions — You can decline or revoke calendar access through your device settings. Core onboarding and browsing features continue to work without calendar access.
  • Local app data — You may clear locally stored app data by uninstalling the app or using any in-app reset or sign-out options we provide, although that will not by itself delete server-side records.
  • Cookies — Our web Services may use cookies or similar technologies for session management. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
